Veterinary Surgeon Team Leader role at Charity branch in Cardiff
My client, a well-established charity veterinary hospital in Cardiff, is seeking an experienced and motivated Veterinary Surgeon Team Leader to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident clinician who also enjoys leadership and people management, combining clinical responsibilities with a key role in team development.
This position offers a salary of £60,000 to £66,000 per annum, including allowances, based on a 37.5-hour working week.
The successful candidate will support the Senior Veterinary Surgeon by leading the veterinary surgeon team, ensuring the delivery of efficient, compassionate and high-quality pet care to the local community. Responsibilities will include team management, recruitment, selection, mentoring and development, as well as overseeing project delivery and delegating tasks as appropriate. The role provides a balance of clinical work on the rota and allocated management and administrative time.
My client offers an attractive benefits package, including 37.5 hours of funded CPD, strong opportunities for career progression and further development, a 37.5-hour working week, travel allowance, 5 weeks of annual leave plus paid statutory holidays, life assurance at 4× salary, and a contributory pension scheme.
They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with excellent interpersonal skills, proven customer service experience, and a collaborative approach to team leadership. Extensive clinical experience in small animal practice is essential, along with a genuine commitment to high standards of care.
If you are an experienced vet seeking to step into a leadership role while maintaining hands-on clinical involvement, then please get in touch for more details.
