Teaching Personnel are working with a Pupils Referral Unit (PRU), located in the Welsh Capital, to source a full time Behaviour Specialist to join their team of educators. This type of education is to offer a fresh start so pupils can return to mainstream school or to support them with their next steps in life after school, whether that be going to college or getting a job.

To be considered for this role, you must have a passion for working with pupils with challenging behaviour and be able to provide a safe and positive learning environment. The pupils would hugely benefit from an educator who can impact their attitude towards school in a positive manner and who is able to successfully build an engaging and motivating working environment.

Your responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
Work closely with pupils in 1:1 and small group sessions, promoting independence and self confidence amongst pupils.
Embody the schools core aims, supporting learners to do the same, preparing them for life after school.
Implement behaviour management strategies to support students’ social and emotional development.

The ideal candidate will:

Have an enhanced DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for one.
Be able to commute to Cardiff or relocate.
Have completed safeguarding training or be willing to complete.
Provide 2 recent references.

Location: Cardiff

Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30-15:30

Pay: From £93 per day

Start Date: ASAP

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
