Job Purpose
The post holder will be the Team Manager with responsibility for the Case Management Service supporting complex cases, planned and unplanned reviews, unpaid carers and respite for older people and adults with impairments.
The post holder will support the Service Manager with the strategic management of the service and will take responsibility for a specialist area of social work, attending meetings and providing expert input as required.

Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
A good understanding of the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and All Wales Safeguarding Procedures and other relevant legislation/ Best Practice Guidelines.
A good understanding of preventative and strengths based social work practice.
Experience / Knowledge
Experience of supervising social work staff, and or providing mentoring to colleagues.
Minimum of 3 years of post-qualifying experience within a social service.
A proven record of social work case management experience, including complex case management.
Experience of dealing with complex safeguarding issues
Experience and sound knowledge of Mental Capacity practice.
Skills and Abilities
Demonstrates a practised and consistent approach to allocation of work and prioritisation with a systemic approach to identifying and mitigating risk.
Ability to analyse data, evaluate trends,
and manage change.
