Multi Skilled Plumber - £34,348 per annum
What you'll do...
Maintain the homes and communal facilities of Taff Housing residents to a high quality. The service aims to provide homes that are safe, comfortable, well maintained and located in environments that are pleasant for all users.
What you'll bring to the role...
- To provide plumbing services as required
- Carry out additional general maintenance works such as basic carpentry work, plaster patching, wall tiling, guttering etc
- Complete the repair and maintenance tasks and associated job activities in compliance with the company's agreed customer service standards and operational procedures
- To work as part of a team and in around customer's homes, void properties or other similar sites
- To work occasionally at heights from scaffold platforms, ladders or mechanical equipment
- To use regularly the repairs and maintenance mobile electronic equipment (handhelds) to obtain repairs information and record relevant information associated with the repair job and operational procedures
- Drives the company vehicle provided and comply with the vehicle maintenance and repairs procedures
- Maintain the optimum level of material van stocks to maximize the opportunity to complete the repair task on the first visit to the property
- Responsible for the safe use of a range of portable tools, small plant, ladders and equipment to enable duties of the job to be carried out
- To promote and maintain good customer relations whilst carrying out duties
- All individuals are expected to be flexible in undertaking the duties and responsibilities attached to their job and may be asked to perform other duties which reasonably correspond to the general character of their job and their level of responsibility
- All individuals are expected to maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job and participate in appropriate learning and development activities
- To recognise health and safety as a responsibility of every individual, to take reasonable care of self and others and to comply with Taff Housing's Health and Safety policies and any service specific procedures/rules that apply to the job
- To promote equality as part of the job and to treat everyone with fairness and dignity
- To undertake such other duties and responsibilities as are specified by the Repairs Team manager and are commensurate with the level of the job
- To develop and sustain positive working relationships with colleagues in the team and across the association
- You may be required to mentor and support volunteers within the workplace
