Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with a growing and innovative organisation in Cardiff to recruit a HR Officer to join their People & Culture team.

Whether you already have some HR experience or are looking to step into the profession, this role offers hands-on exposure across the full employee lifecycle in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

This is a varied, hands-on position where you will act as a key point of contact for people-related queries, supporting both employees and managers. You'll balance HR advisory responsibilities with day-to-day administration, playing an important role in delivering a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries across the business
• Supporting managers with absence, performance and employee relations matters
• Assisting with investigations and HR processes, both informal and formal
• Providing guidance and coaching to managers on people management
• Managing HR administration including contracts, onboarding and employee records
• Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities
• Maintaining HR systems and producing accurate reports
• Assisting with policy updates and ensuring compliance
• Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

We're looking for someone with the right attitude and a genuine interest in HR. You'll be proactive, organised and eager to learn, with a collaborative approach to working with others.

You will ideally have:

• Some exposure to HR or a strong desire to develop a career in HR
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• A willingness to learn, grow and take ownership

A CIPD qualification (or working towards one) would be beneficial but is not essential.
