Role Overview:

The purpose of the role is to oversee the successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Maintaining compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements while coordinating effectively with clients, subcontractors, operatives, and authorities. Acting as the professional representative of Cardo, providing clear communication, accurate documentation, and foster strong working relationships across all project teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the delivery of project site work, working closely with Cardo management, operatives, and supply chain subcontractors to ensure that the project programme is adhered to, identifying and managing any risks to programme, quality, or budget that may arise.

• Provide clear and concise communication on progress of works to Cardo management and the client in a structured and professional manner.

• Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are adhered to at all times, by all attendees of the site. As the Site Manager you will have overall responsibility for ensuring health and safety policies and procedures are followed by all, and will work with, and report to Cardo Health and Safety management on a regular basis.

• Attend both internal and client meetings representing the business in a professional manner, and always treating others with respect.

• Be organised and proficient in the use of various of ICT systems, regulations, and legislation to the entire building/construction industry as well as H&S

• Understand specifications and drawings and ensure they are being followed and installed correctly on site.

• Updating systems to ensure that all documents relating to your role are saved and ready for auditing in strict accordance with Cardo procedures and PAS2030 requirements.

• Working with Building Control regulations and requirements as well as all other statutory and mandatory regulations/legislation and requirements.

• Develop effective working relationships with direct labour operatives, sub-contractors, clients, building control and the local fire authority.

• Act as the representative and be the face of Cardo Group.

• Promote and follow good Project governance through the policies and procedures laid out by the Cardo Group.

You will need:

• Strong project management skills to coordinate site activities, programmes, risks, and budgets.

• Clear and professional communication abilities for reporting progress to management, clients, and stakeholders.

• Expert knowledge of health & safety regulations with the ability to enforce policies across all site personnel.

• Technical competence in construction standards, drawings, regulations, and ICT systems.

• Excellent relationship-building and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with operatives, subcontractors, and external authorities.
