Learning Support Worker

Masterclass are working with a specialist SEN school supporting children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex medical needs. We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Worker to join our dedicated team and play a key role in supporting our learners' education, care, and personal development.

Your Role Will Include:

* Supporting students with personal care, mobility, feeding, and medical needs under guidance and training.

* Assisting the teacher in delivering highly differentiated and sensory-based learning activities.

* Promoting communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing in every interaction.

* Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.

* Helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that enables every child to feel valued and included.

What We’re Looking For:

* Experience working with children or young people with additional needs is desirable but not essential – the right attitude is!

* A patient, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting complex and often non-verbal learners.

* Willingness to undertake training in areas such as manual handling, medical procedures, and communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS).

* A genuine desire to make a difference to the lives of children with profound and lifelong challenges.

Masterclass Education provide CPD recognised online training, covering subjects such as Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all of our candidates.

Must have:

* Ability to work well independently and as a team

* Has a passion to support and empower children and young people

* A DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one

* Commitment to safeguarding students and young people

* Holds GCSE’S in Maths & English grade A*-C 4-9 or equivalent

* Resilience to deal with challenging situations
