Experienced Veterinary Surgeon – ECC – South Wales

GVC is assisting a modern, RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital near Cardiff to recruit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) team.

This role is ideal for vets seeking a challenging, varied ECC position with excellent work-life balance.

The Role

• Salary: £60,000 – £70,000

• Hours: Average 35.1 hr/week, with a 4 days on, 4 days off rota

• Shift types:

  • Day shifts: Inpatient care and workups

  • Twilight shifts: Urgent and emergency consultations

• No on-call or sole-charge work

• Fully supported by a large team of RVNs, ACAs, and reception staff

• Certificate study and clinical development fully supported

Requirements:

• Comfortable working up ECC cases to a high standard

• Able to lead a clinical team alongside a second vet
