Experienced Veterinary Surgeon – ECC – South Wales
GVC is assisting a modern, RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital near Cardiff to recruit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) team.
This role is ideal for vets seeking a challenging, varied ECC position with excellent work-life balance.
The Role
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000
Hours: Average 35.1 hr/week, with a 4 days on, 4 days off rota
Shift types:
Day shifts: Inpatient care and workups
Twilight shifts: Urgent and emergency consultations
No on-call or sole-charge work
Fully supported by a large team of RVNs, ACAs, and reception staff
Certificate study and clinical development fully supported
Requirements:
Comfortable working up ECC cases to a high standard
Able to lead a clinical team alongside a second vet

CT Scanner , advanced ultrasonography, and endosurgery facilities
Extensive blood analysis equipment (including TEG and blood gases)
