We're supporting a fast‑growing manufacturing business in St Mellons to recruit an Assistant Accountant - perfect for someone studying AAT/ACCA/CIMA and eager to build their technical skills quickly.

The Role

You'll play a key role in day‑to‑day financial operations, month‑end activities and supporting wider business performance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting with daily finance tasks and analysis
• Taking ownership of the month-end close process
• Preparing management accounts
• Conducting stock valuations and reconciliations
• Managing prepayments, accruals and journals
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• Processing bank payments
• Ensuring accurate, up‑to‑date financial records
• Taking on ad‑hoc tasks across the finance function

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who learns quickly, wants variety and enjoys being hands-on.

Who this suits?

• AAT studier or early ACCA/CIMA
• 2-5 years' finance experience
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proactive, ambitious and keen to grow
• Experience in manufacturing or stock-based environments is a bonus
