Pay: £13.85 per/hr
Working Days/Hours: Monday to Saturday, pr/w, 8am - 7pm
5 days a week across the spectrum of opening hours - rota basis - rota provided 3 months in advance. Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Admin Officer. List the duties of the role: The SSC Administrative Officer will primarily be expected to conduct Asylum Registration, Further Submission and Family & Human Rights tasks, all of which are case preparation. This includes conducting checks on customers, updating systems, interviewing customers, scanning documents, enrolling biometrics and serving documentation. This list is not exhaustive, and the job holder may also be trained in other work areas. The job holder will undertake comprehensive training for each workstream and managed in accordance with Home Office HR policies.
- Reviewing customer applications, holding face to face conversations to capture relevant information, and identifying any safeguarding concerns.
- Recording biometric data
- Supporting the asylum screening process, working with colleagues to complete and issue relevant paperwork.
- Conducting visits to customers unable to be present at an SSC for biometric enrolment. Attending a location convenient to the customer to complete biometric capture.
- Completing admin tasks essential to the customer application, updating IT systems, digitising documents, and taking responsibility for moving/tracking passports.
- Represent Decision Enablement Services positively by projecting a professional image to customers, colleagues, and stakeholders to help maintain customer service excellence.
- Additional duties within the scope of the grade will vary dependant on business needs. Public-facing work is fast-paced, interesting and varied; but can, at times be pressurised so an ability to be flexible and prioritise is important.

You must hold a valid passport and must have lived in the UK for longer than 3 years.
