Location: Cardiff (Head Office with regional travel)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 16:30

The Role
As an Assessor, you will deliver structured, end-to-end support to apprenticeship learners, guiding them through their Children & Young People qualification .
You will play a key role in ensuring learners receive high-quality training, assessment, and feedback, helping them successfully complete their programmes and progress in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, knowledge and competency-based assessments
- Manage a caseload of learners across a regional area, including workplace visits
- Support learners through regular interaction, planning, and feedback
- Monitor learner progress and ensure timely completion of qualifications
- Conduct monthly progress reviews and set clear, measurable targets
- Develop and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
- Support learners in developing literacy, numeracy, and digital skills
- Assess and mark workplace evidence in line with qualification requirements
- Coordinate learner inductions with employers
- Maintain compliance with internal quality assurance processes
Requirements
Essential:
- Level 4 or 5 NVQ/QCF in Children & Young People
- Experience delivering training within the sector
- CAVA qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous assessor experience
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to complete a DBS check and relevant registration
Desirable:
- Welsh language skills
