Primary School Teaching Assistant
Primary School Teaching Assistant - Cardiff Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Cardiff. This full-time role offers an opportunity to work within a supportive educational environment, assisting in the delivery of high-quality education and promoting inclusive learning for young children. The successful candidate will provide general classroom support during the foundation phase of the primary school. Responsibilities include working closely with the class teacher to facilitate a positive, nurturing atmosphere that encourages children’s academic and social development. Experience working within primary education, particularly supporting early stages, is highly desirable. Key duties involve assisting with lesson implementation, managing classroom behaviour, and contributing to creating an engaging, safe learning environment. The role requires strong communication skills, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting children with a range of needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN) and emotional behaviour difficulties (EBD). Knowledge of safeguarding policies, and appropriate behaviour management techniques, are essential. A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2/3 in childcare or equivalent is preferred.
