Hours: Full-time (8:30am - 3:30pm)

About the Role

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, or looking to begin a rewarding career in education? We are currently recruiting a proactive and reliable SRB Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in central Cardiff.

This is a full-time position starting in May 2026, with the potential to continue for the full academic year and beyond.

You will be working within the school's Special Resource Base (SRB), supporting pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including social, emotional, behavioural needs, and learning difficulties. This role offers a valuable opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support within the SRB to meet a range of ALN needs

• Deliver 1:1 support and assist pupils with individual learning and behavioural goals

• Lead targeted intervention sessions for individuals and small groups

• Support pupils with emotional regulation and social development

• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and structured activities

• Build strong, professional relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

About You

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have experience working with children, ideally within a school or care setting

• Are confident supporting pupils with additional learning needs

• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Are flexible, adaptable, and proactive in their approach

• Are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
