Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing behaviour management strategies for individual students or groups
- Providing one-on-one or small-group support to students struggling with behavioural, emotional, or social challenges
- Collaborating with teachers, counsellors, and other professionals to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to student support
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation to monitor student progress and inform future interventions
- Promoting a positive and inclusive school culture that fosters respect, empathy, and responsibility
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in a related field (e.g. , education, psychology, social work)
- Proven experience working with children or young people in a behaviour support or similar role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Thorough understanding of child and adolescent development, as well as the factors that can impact behaviour and wellbeing
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay up-to-date with best practices in the field
